New Image Of Pillars Of Creation Shows Possible Birth Of Star

The Hubble telescope is celebrating its 25th year in orbit by revisiting the Pillars of Creation and taking a better version of the first image shot in 1995. The Eagle Nebula’s Pillars of Creation together with other amazing footage will be shown at the 225th Meeting of the Astronomical Society in Seattle, Washington.

The new high-definition image was shot using the Wide Field Camera 3 installed in 2009 resulting in an image that is sharper and wider than the first version.
