Sanofi and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. have confirmed that their new drug Alirocumab has been showing good results in clinical trials. Both pharmaceutical companies have confirmed that their new drug has been showing positive results against high-cholesterol. The researchers have found that the new drug reduces bad cholesterol level in hypercholesterolemia patients, if taken at a once-monthly dose.

The trials have lasted for weeks, where the researchers had evaluated the efficiency of the treatment. During the trials two group of patients with high level of cholesterol were treated.
