Bill Cosby, who's been a beloved comedian and sitcom star for decades, has been accused of sexually assaulting multiple women. Cosby, 77, who was never criminally charged in any case, settled a civil suit in 2006 with a woman over an alleged incident two years before, The Associated Press reported. Cosby's attorney, John P. Schmitt, issued a statement Sunday saying his client would not dignify “decade-old, discredited” claims of sexual abuse with a response.
Cosby is showcasing his African-American art collection at the Smithsonian's National Museum of African Art. He promoted the collection in an interview with NPR, in which he was directly asked about assault allegations. Cosby did not say anything in response to the questions.
