On November 5, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) announced that in a surprising finding they came across a nursery of catsharks and skates in the same area. This discovery was made during extensive exploration of two marine sanctuaries situated off the coast of Northern California north of Bodega Head.
