New Born Killer Whale Calf Brings Hope to Endangered Pod

Around a week ago a scientist at the Center for Whale Research, Ken Balcomb, spotted a newly born baby killer whale named Orca. It was found in an endangered pod that is making its nest off the Washington state coast. The news is no doubt very good and encouraging for the pod that has waited to see a new addition to its community for over two years.
