Netflix and Disney are rebooting classic cartoon series for their children programming. The internet streaming service has secured the rights to a new take on 1980s "Inspector Gadget" for March debut while the Mouse House is revisiting "Ducktales" for 2017 launch.
The original "Gadget" first aired as an animated television series in 1983. It was adapted into a movie starring in 1999. The 26-episode remake will include updated gadgets and a new computer-generated look for the titular character.
