Nepal Marks Anniversary of Deadliest Everest Avalanche

Hundreds of people have gathered in Nepal's capital to mark the anniversary of the deadliest avalanche to hit Mount Everest.

After 16 Nepalese Sherpa guides died in the April 18, 2014, disaster, the guides refused to work on the mountain, leading to the cancellation of last year's climbing season.
