And americans are worried about footballs not having enough air, people that have so much free stuff screaming for more free stuff or they'll destroy what they do have, if a kid isn't sure if it's a boy or a girl and so can use either bathroom in high school, two gays wanting to MAKE someone make their wedding cake to prove some kind of stupid point and what the newest iWatch can and can't do.Americans are pathetic and should focus on how wonderful their lives are....but they won't. They are the most spoiled, cuddled, egotistical people on the planet and they're getting worse. They have no major problems so make the small ones major. Shame on all of them.Good luck to the Nepalese....

We need badly to undertake an effort to design buildings that are reasonably earthquake proof and that can be built inexpensively with locally available materials (or with minimum imported materials). At one time, the United States was one of the leaders in building construction, but a thicket of building codes and artificial restrictions has killed creativity in building design and construction.

The human race does a great job in injuring itself through wars, insurrections, murder and other forms of violence. Both Mother Nature does a great job too through earthquakes, hurricanes, drought, floods, tornadoes, etc.
