Yesterday, Forbes reported that the Fox network is set to debut a reboot of the 1980 series, “Cosmos,” starring astronomer Neil deGrasse Tyson. MacFarlane says he pitched the show to Fox to help foster a passion for science and space in the U.S. The network giant has slated a weekend long marathon of all 13 episodes of the show.
The first six episodes will air this Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. CST. Then, the seven remaining episodes will air on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. CST. If the show receives good ratings, it could mean an influx of prime-time educational television.
