Nearly all U.S. kids eat too much salt: CDC

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Almost all U.S. children eat more salt than they should and that excess sodium is raising youngsters’ blood pressure at an alarming rate, according to a new report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Nearly 9 in 10 U.S. kids are taking in more salt than is recommended and about 1 in 6 have raised blood pressure, the federal agency said calling for a change in eating habits among the country’s youth.
