Nearly 1,900 fraud complaints in Afghan election

KABUL, Afghanistan - An Afghan official says nearly 1,900 complaints of fraud in this month's presidential election are being investigated but the number is lower than that of the last election.

The spokesman of the complaints committee of the Independent Elections Commission, Mohammed Nadir Mohseni, said Sunday that each allegation would be scrutinized so that there would be no question of the outcome of the April 5 vote.
