Neanderthal Man, the Jeweler?

We know that Neanderthal man was a hunter-gatherer species. We know that their lives were very simple, probably living in a cave, only coming out during the day time, when it is safe, to hunt for food and gather fruits and other plants.

We know that they may have learned to control fire—the greatest technology of the age—and perhaps even learned to paint on the inside of caves to tell stories.
