NATO says soldier killed in southern Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The U.S.-led international coalition in Afghanistan says one of its service members has been killed in an attack in the country's south.

NATO said on Thursday that the soldier died as a result of an enemy forces attack on Wednesday. The alliance provided no other details in its statement. Coalition policy is for home countries to identify their military dead.
