At last, a legislation has been signed by Gov. Nathan Deal on Thursday in order to legalize medical marijuana in Georgia. Although the effectiveness had already been proved for the treatment of cancer, sickle cell disease and other problems still tremendous hurdles remain for patients who want to get the drug.

The House Bill 1 took effect immediately legalizing the patients of cancer and other diseases to own up to 20 ounces of cannabis oil on physician’s prescription.
