NASA teams up with three other US weather agencies to monitor freshwater for algal blooms

NASA has teamed up with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the US Geological Survey on a $3.6 million project to monitor and forecast toxic freshwater algal blooms using satellite technology for the health benefits of humans.
