NASA’s Hubble Telescope discovers three Kuiper Belt Objects

On Wednesday, NASA announced that its Hubble telescope has uncovered three Kuiper Belt objects (KBO) that the New Horizons spacecraft could possibly visit after it flies by Pluto in July. Now, the Horizons mission to Pluto has three new targets for its work in the distant reaches of our solar system.

The principal investigator on the New Horizons is Alan Stern of Boulder's Southwest Research Institute, and co-investigator is Fran Bagenal professor of University of Colorado.
