NASA Releases New Version of Europa image

A new version of the image of Europa, Jupiter's ice-covered moon has been created by scientists. Originally, the images, assembling which the new one has been created, were taken by NASA's Galileo spacecraft, on its first orbit of the Jovian system, in 1995, and on the 14th orbit, three years later.

The new image has been created by using modern image processing techniques. It is obtained by a group of images taken through near-infrared, green and violet filters.
