NASA Releases Largest And Sharpest Picture Of Andromeda Galaxy

NASA has released the highest resolution photo of the Andromeda galaxy, which is the nearest spiral galaxy to our own galaxy, the Milky Way, and is 2.5 million light years away. The image is of 1.5 billion pixels and is 1000 times the resolution of a regular high-definition picture.

NASA’s new highest resolution image of Andromeda galaxy was captured by the Hubble Space Telescope and is 60,000 by 22,000 pixels. At 4.3 gigabytes in size it will need 600 HD television screens to look at the whole image.
