NASA launches four satellites to investigate Magnetic interactions

A new study has been initiated by NASA to explore more about the magnetic field in the earth’s orbit. Four satellites have been launched in the earth’s orbit in order to understand and research about the interactions of these magnetic fields. The study is about the interaction when they disconnect from each other and connect in the other direction. This is a similar occurrence when Sunspots are produced by the sun. This experiment is called Magnetospheric Multiscale mission as it is uniquely designed to explore the reconnection of the magnetic fields in depth.

On March 12th, 2015 at 10.44pm(EST), NASA launched these four observation satellites through Atlast-V 421 rocket into the earth’s lower orbit. In less than two hours, these satellites touched their orbits.
