An interesting image of M-class solar flare was captured by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory at 11:24 pm EST on Monday. The flare has been classified as M5.6-class flare and caused a minor radio blackout on the sunlit side of the Earth.
M-class solar flare is considered to be the second-most powerful type of solar flare on a scale with five. A-class flares are the weakest, followed by B, C, M, and X-classes. X-class flares are most intense and 10 times more powerful than an M-class flare.
