Ah, the Spirit Awards. The indie-fest (only movies made for under $20 million are celebrated at this awards show) is held in a tent on the beach. Tables are crowded with booze. And the proximity of Oscars Sunday makes everyone downright giddy. This year's awards ceremony was a blast, thanks to Saturday Night Live's Kate McKinnon and Silicon Valley's Kumail Nanjiani, who hosted the show.
