Mysterious Measures Could Make Normally Unsafe Planets Livable

Normally—in terms of planetary life—if wild tidal forces and heavy stellar activity combine they create a planet much like Neptune which is quite unlivable.

But new research from the University of Washington suggests that if these new planets form and orbit around a low-mass star (an M dwarf), these normally uninhabitable conditions could mysteriously change into livable ones.
