Mylan says it is not interested in merger with Israeli drug maker

Generic drug giant Mylan issued a statement this afternoon saying it was not interested in merging with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, calling such a combination “without sound industrial logic or cultural fit.”

Mylan was responding to widespread speculation that Teva, based in Israel and the world’s biggest generic drug maker, was mulling an offer for Mylan.
