Multiple-star system in early stages of formation caught by astronomers

Using the Very Large Array (VLA) and the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) as well as the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT), a team of researchers led by Jaime Pineda of the Institute for Astronomy in Switzerland has detected a multiple star system that is currently undergoing first stages of creation, or formation.
