Mosasaurs, aquatic dinosaurs that lived 65 million years ago gave birth to babies at sea

Findings published in the journal Palaeontology suggests that mosasaurs, a kind of aquatic dinosaurs that lived roughly 65 million years ago actually gave birth to live ones in the sea and never came to land to lay eggs like sea turtles. Mosasaurs were an aquatic dinosaur that ruled the seas when dinosaurs ruled the land and air. They breathed air even though they were reptiles and could grow up to 50 feet long.

According to paleontologists from Yale University and the University of Toronto, a 100-year-old fossil of mosasaurs, earlier misidentified as a bird, were correctly identified at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History.
