More than 700 Infants, 43 Employees Exposed to TB at Texas hospital

According to health officials of Providence Memorial Hospital in El Paso, Texas, more than 700 newborns and 40 employees of the hospital may have been exposed to a worker who had deadly tuberculosis.

According to the department, the employee, working in a nursery and in the post-partum unit of the hospital interacted with patients for months before later being diagnosed with the disease. He came with an active case of TB between September 2013 and August 2014.
