More Nights to Come for ‘Janis Joplin’

When “A Night With Janis Joplin” closed at the Lyceum Theater in February, after a four-and-a-half-month run, the show’s producers said that they had a deal in the works that would lead to a quick revival in another New York theater. On Monday, the show’s lead producers, Todd Gershwin, Michael Cohl and Daniel Chilewich, announced the details: in a new partnership with Live Nation Entertainment, the giant concert promoter, they will present what they are calling a new production of the show at the Gramercy Theater, on East 23rd Street. Opening night is April 10.

Randy Johnson, who wrote the show, will continue as director of the new version.
