Adding a cheap, older chemotherapy drug to the treatment for men with advanced prostate cancer can help them live longer without making them significantly sicker, researchers reported on Sunday.

It’s a surprising reversal of the latest common wisdom, which is that less treatment is often better for cancer patients.
