Monarch Butterflies flying towards being an endangered species

Monarch butterflies are one of the must distinctive of any variety of this suborder of winged creatures. Their bright orange wings are a welcome sight in many areas of the United States, during summer months. Now, biologists and environmentalists are raising warnings that these beautiful animals may soon go extinct.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has announced that one subspecies of Monarch butterfly may soon warrant protection under the Endangered Species Act.
