A West Boynton mom is facing serious jail time after fleeing the state to prevent her son having to undergo an essential circumcision, with court judges having lashed out at the woman’s “reprehensible” behavior. Circuit Judge Jeffrey Gillen found Heather Hironimus in contempt of court and has since stated that her actions have thrust the 4-year-old boy into the national spotlight for wholly deplorable reasons, condemning her role in “making him an object of curiosity and worse.”
Judge Gillen has warned that should Hironimus not appear in court on Tuesday as requested, a warrant will be issued for her arrest and a custodial sentence would be inevitable.
