Moderate Alcoholic Consumption linked with decreased Risk of Coronary Heart Disease

Earlier research suggested that an alcoholic beverage a day could reduce the risk of coronary heart disease, but a new study at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg in Sweden, claimed that it is true only for 15% of the population.

Alcoholic consumption at 'moderate' level, for women up to 1 drink a day and for men 2 drinks a day, is connected with a reduced risk of coronary heart disease.
