Mixed reactions on debate to compensate kidney donors with rewards and help more people survive

The California Transplant Donor Network has reported that more than 120,000 people wait in line for organ donations and nearly 20% of them are from California. It is also estimated that 18 people die every day waiting for their turn which can take anywhere from three to five years.

According to the National Organ Transplant Act passed by the Congress in 1984, human organs could not be sold legally.
