Mitsubishi plans big sales boost from new Outlander

NEW YORK -- Firmly on a trajectory of recovery in the U.S., Mitsubishi adds a robustly updated version of its seven-passenger Outlander SUV.

The goal is to make it the brand's No. 2 seller, moving ahead of the Mirage economy car but likely continuing to trail the Outlander Sport, a smaller and dissimilar model despite the similar names.
