A new case of bird flu, the first outbreak in about five months hits South Korea, the country confirmed Saturday. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, a poultry farm in Icheon, located 80 kilometers east of Seoul, has ducks that have tested positive of the avian influenza, reported Yonhap News.

All 10,900 ducks in the said farm with the virulent strain of the bird flu were culled and the farm has been quarantined so the virus would not spread, said the ministry. Since November 2015, South Korea has not reported confirmed cases of AI.
