Minecraft Creator Buys Mansion for $70 Million

Markus “Notch” Persson, creator of Minecraft, recently purchased a giant mansion located in Beverly Hills, California for a whopping $70 million. According to a press release from the real estate firm that completed the property deal, it was the highest price ever paid for a Beverly Hills home and the deal was closed in only six days. Curbed Los Angeles reports that Notch also beat out Jay-Z and Beyonce, alongside other bidders, for the house.
