Mich. governor activates National Guard to help lead contamination relief in Flint

Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) has activated the state’s National Guard to help with the ongoing crisis in Flint, Mich., resulting from elevated lead levels in the city’s water.

The Michigan National Guard will assist in distributing bottled water, water filters, replacement cartridges and home water testing kits at five resource sites across the city, according to a release from Snyder’s office late Tuesday.
