Miami dredging project to go ahead despite concerns about coral field

The United States Army Corps of Engineers has decided to go ahead with its Miami Dredging project, despite the concerns raised by marine biologists that it will destroy an important underwater coral field.

Researchers have already managed to relocate more than one thousand mature corals to an artificial reef, and they wanted more time to save the stationary, long-lived animals from the potential harm by the Corps' move.
