Mexican Breastfeeding Campaign Accidentally Mommy-Shames

In an effort to raise breastfeeding rates in Mexico, which has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in Latin America due to issues including poverty, poor nutrition, and long work hours, a Mexico City campaign released a series of posters encouraging moms to breastfeed. But actually, kinda shame them into it (via Jezebel).

The posters feature topless, perfectly toned celebs with the message, "No les des la espalda, dale pecho," or in English, "Don't turn you back on them, give them your breast." The posters were taken down when women's groups in Mexico City voiced their issues with the message spread by the campaign.
