Meteorite wiped out dinosaurs but helped blooming of forests

A significant study reveals that a giant meteorite that eliminated dinosaurs from the face of the earth boosted up deciduous plants. Deciduous plants are those that shed leaves at points along the year. The incident happened 66 million years ago.

University of Arizona’s researchers say that flowering plants were wiped out during the impact.
