LOS ANGELES — Legendary comic filmmaker Mel Brooks will beam a live tribute to legendary comic actor Gene Wilder to hundreds of theaters where their legendary collaboration, Young Frankenstein, will be screened in a special showing next month.
The 1974 spoof classic will come alive again Oct. 5 in 500 theaters around the country. Writer/director Brooks, 90, will start off the festivities with a live introduction and tribute to his friend and frequent collaborator, who died last month at 83.
