Meghan Linsey sang Little Big Town's “Girl Crush” during her turn on NBC’s "The Voice" stage on Monday night. During rehearsals Blake Shelton called the song his favorite on the radio right now, and the former Steel Magnolia singer’s version didn’t damper his enthusiasm.
Linsey took Reba McEntire's advice and started soft, but her rendition still comes stronger than LBT vocalist Karen Fairchild’s. The arrangements are similar, but Linsey is more soulful, so her notes tend to dangle a bit longer than found on the Pain Killer album.
