A recent study done by team of researchers under lead author J. David Creswell from the Dietrich College of humanities and social sciences states that meditating for about 25 minutes for 3 days a week alleviates stress level significantly. Further it also reduces the symptoms of other psychological problems. The study report was published in the Journal Psychoneuroendocrinology.
Creswell said that more people have started using meditation to reduce the stress levels. However very little information is available on how much medication is required to reduce stress and also provide health benefits.
