‘Me and Earl and the Dying Girl’ lives large at Sundance awards

PARK CITY >> The big winners at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival told stories of a teen girl dying of cancer, teen brothers shut off from the outside world and mountain climbers braving an impossible climb.

The comedy-drama “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl” was the biggest winner of the Jan. 31 award ceremony, picking up both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award in the U.S. Dramatic competition, marking the end of this year’s festival.
