A Masterful New Biography Of Artist Isamu Noguchi

This March 6, 2013 photo shows sculptures at the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum in Astoria, in the Queens borough of New York. The late Noguchi, a Japanese-American sculptor known for his spare, modernist style, lived and worked in the building and created a museum for his works there. Astoria and the adjacent neighborhood of Long Island City are home to several museums, in addition to attractions like waterfront parks and good restaurants.
