Mars Lost its Massive Oceans, Study Says

On Thursday researchers from NASA reported, after six years of planetary observations, that ancient Mars had an ocean almost the size of the Atlantic. NASA has found convincing evidence to that.

The question is: if there indeed had been an ocean, what happened to it? It seems that for millions of years the water spread across the low-lying plain of the planet’s northern hemisphere. Simply put Mars has lost its water to space and it became the red dust bowl of today.
