Majority of votes, i.e. 57-32, were cast by house lawmakers on Monday to eliminate price-based oil tax breaks and reduce tax on oil extraction.
House Bill 1476 that introduced on Friday would remove large trigger exemption on the oil extraction tax. Rep. Mary Schneider, D-Fargo, was amongst many House members raising concerns about the bill’s late introduction on Day 70 of the 80-day session.
