Lost memories could be retrieved: UCLA Study

A new research in the open-access journal eLife has revealed that lost memories can be recovered. The research was conducted by the researchers from the University of California (UCLA). The new findings would offer hope to patients suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.

The results have contradicted the long-held belief that memories are stored at the connections between neurons, or synapses, the areas that are damaged in the patients suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
