Losing just 30 minutes of sleep a day on weekdays could have major long term consequences on the body weight and metabolism, the findings of a new study have revealed.

These findings suggest that accumulating on sleep debt during weekdays and making up for the lost hours during weekend could raise the risk of metabolic disruption significantly, and could spur the onset of type 2 diabetes as well.
