Longer telomeres may up brain cancer risk

A new genome research has indicated that longer telomeres might also increase the danger of developing lethal brain cancers known as gliomas.

The study that has been led by University of California San Francisco (UCSF) concentrates on two common variants of telomere-related genes known as TERC and TERT. These genes lead to longer telomeres.
