Being unemployed for a year or more may affect your personality and the changes may make an individual less appealing and less employable. The extent of changes that take place is proportional to the time one is without work.
Christopher J Boyce, the University of Stirling in the United Kingdom, said the findings challenge the idea that personality is fixed. But the new study has found that external factors like unemployment have a big role to play on personality.
